2016 was a lot of things to a lot of different people but it definitely wasn't boring, especially in the world of professional basketball. Here are some of our favorite NBA moments of 2016.
An Easy Seven Years
We were pretty pumped when the NBA and the NBPA agreed upon a new seven-year Collective Bargaining Agreement, avoiding the possibility of a lockout scenario like the one we saw in 2011.
LeBron's Super Powers (a.k.a "LeBlock")
By sprinting 60 feet in just 2.67 seconds, LeBron was able to do what many thought was impossible.
Golden State > Bulls?
2016 was the year the Golden State Warriors took over the 95-96 Chicago Bulls for best season in NBA history.
Kobe Says Goodbye
After 20 years playing in the NBA, Kobe Bryant said his final goodbye on April 13, 2016, but not before single-handedly scoring a mind-blowing 60 points.
There's nothing else to say except it sure hasn't affected Russell Westbrook's career.
Curry Owns the Court
One of our favorite shots of 2016 was this 32-footer Steph Curry made against OKC last March.
The Hinkie Letter
Sam Hinkie, former General Manager of the Philadelphia 76ers created controversy when his 13-page resignation containing all sorts of confidential information letter leaked to the media. Whoops!
The Cleveland Cavaliers made history by defeating the Golden State Warriors 93-89, not only becoming the first NBA team to erase a 3-1 deficit, but also bringing in Cleveland's first championship in 52 years.
